We left Barcelona early morning to catch our second (and couple transfers) to Nice (pronounced Neece), a city along the French Riviera. The traveling took almost the whole day, then there was a delayed train that threw off our other schedules, but we eventually made it. We only planned to play at the fancy casino that James Bond (Golden Eye) went to in Monaco during night time, so no rush. We arrived around 3-4ish, dropped our things off at the hotel and got late lunch. We then went back to get ready. Jeren had an elegant white dress, and I had a black dressy jumpsuit. And Jeren did my hair!!! I loved it...@.@ We went to the metro, and planned to go back on the last train. It was nightfall already and when we got on the metro, we actually didn't know the name of our stop...so we just winged it! We actually got off in the middle of nowhere...it was scary!!! It was just a stop then the town was a mile our two away, it was dark and it looked like we were in a jungle-to me. It reminded me of a scary movie, there wasn't even a real road over there! We walked a few steps out of the stop, and came back cause it seemed like a bad idea to go any further. We thankfully heard the intercom... THANK GOODNESS it was working there! We were going to take the metro back to the last stop, which we thought was it. The metro cameeee-we're saved! So our assumptions were right, but we only had a few more minutes till the last train to Nice came around.... it was alright though, we caught the night life of Nice, and got their speciality, a big pot of mussels for dinner. Mussles and wine to comfort us. We stayed out until past midnight then had to bed.
A "Nice" morning at the beach...HAH :B We woke up early to go swim in the French Riviera's Mediterranean Sea! It was really relaxing, but very rocky. No sand, but very smooth rocks. More like a message (deep tissue message...) than waking on knives. We had to check-out of the hotel be 10AM, so we had the hotel watch the luggage when we left our rooms. We gave Monaco a second chance, but we didn't get dressed as fancy again. It was JUST alright, the city of Beausoleil was faaaancy! There were more fancy houses and cars than anything else. We got back, grabbed lunch, and headed the train station. That night was out first night train! It was soooo cool! So, there was a room with six bunks, Jeren and I had the top bunks ^-^ everyone else got one to themselves, then there was a random stranger with us to fill the sixth bunk...I was cool with it! And we were off to Switzerland <3
